Day at the Minnesota State Fair
We spent about 8 hours at the Minnesota State Fair with the kids today, and I think I’m more worn-out than they are. It was raining early, looking like the day was going to be a washout. Thankfully the rain subsided, and we were able to do everything we wanted, and then some. The big hits this year were the Sky Ride, the dune buggy ride in Kidland, the horses, and the baby animals in the Miracle of Birth center. I also admit a fondness for fair food. It wouldn’t be a trip to the fair without the usual Pronto Pups, Sweet Martha cookies, foot-long hot dogs, and fresh-squeezed lemonade. Unfortunately, I’ll probably be paying the price tomorrow.
