Back To The Grind

Well, it's back to the grind today after an extended holiday break. The kids had a fun Christmas full of toys, books, games, and even a personal visit from Santa himself on Christmas Eve. I had a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year, but looking into the eyes of the kids was enough to recharge the batteries for awhile. To see the expressions of wonder and joy on their faces makes it all worthwhile, but also makes me long for the days when life was simple and carefree. I knew the holidays were officially over yesterday when I ran over my Christmas lights extension cord in the front yard, severing it with the snowblower.
