Stone Arch Bridge Panorama
Last Thursday, I joined the photo club from work on an outing to the Mill City Museum to take shots of the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge. This was my first real attempt at taking a photographic panorama, let alone a HDR image:
This image is actually compromised of 6 separate photos: 2 different exposures on the left, 2 in the center and 2 on the right. I then used Photoshop CS3's "Merge to HDR" to create HDR images for the left, center and right. After that, I used Photoshop's "Photomerge" feature to stitch the 3 resulting HDR images into a panorama. After some cropping and color adjusting, I produced the final image. I don't think the HDR part of it turned out that well, but overall I'm happy with the final results, especially for a novice like me.
The panorama, as well as some other shots from the trip can be seen in my Stone Arch Bridge flickr set.
Here's a shot of the same scene earlier in the evening.
