I spent a week of vacation last week with the kids. First up was our last camping trip of the year, to Spearhead Point Campground and the Mondeaux Dam area. The forecast for our trip didn't look very good, but it turned out to be absolutely perfect, aside from the last day. Things didn't get off to a very good start on Sunday, since my propane lantern fell off the tree while I was hanging it, shattering the glass globe and making it unusable for the remainder of the trip. Then there were the bees. The kids (in particular, Gina) have developed a paralyzing fear of bees, and there were a few buzzing around the campsite, which didn't make for a very positive experience. Thankfully, the bees cleared out later in the evening, and we were able to have an enjoyable night by the fire.

The kids and I have taken two of our three scheduled camping trips this summer. We've been to Crescent Lake Campground near the North Shore, and Willow River State Park, near Hudson, WI.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!', and the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
